| Contributions The Church of the Good Shepherd counts on your support. We provide worship, pastoral care, service to the community, and several building spaces for community groups on a regular basis. There are many diferent ways to give your support: 1. Operating Fund -- This provides the cost of utilities, maintenance, insurance, for the buildings -- we figure it costs us around $29.00 per hour. The groups that use our space do not cover this cost. 2. Capital Funds -- These funds provide for our big maintenance and repair items -- organ renovation, chapel renovation, handicapped access, major repairs, etc. These funds do not come from our limited budget. 3. Rector's Discretionary Fund -- These funds are used by the Rector for those in need, both parishiopners and people in the community. 4. Food Pantry -- Our Food Pantry is run by volunteers and on monetary contributions. We serve the equivalent of over 30,000 meals per year. 5. Altar Guild -- Money donated for flowers, candles, memorial gifts, etc., is used by the Altar Guild to provide the best support for our worship. 6. Episcopal Community Services, United Thank Offering, work for the Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, Episcopal Relief and Development - these are outreach efforts of the parish.
